How Jos Based Grandmother Went Viral after recording a gospel song @70. Hamsatu Izang sings out as she hammers rocks into small gravel pieces for the construction industry. Singing brings her joy and peace, she says, amid this hard manual labour. But when a prolific music producer in person of Mr Kleb hears her song, he got into a conversation with mama and her life takes a surprising turn and a whole new world opens up.
How Mr Kleb Found Mama
Mr Kleb in his words spoke about how he met Mama. He said “I Was taking a walk when I came across an old Hausa woman singing this sweet African Hausa melodious song, So we decided to hit the studio and guess what?We made MAGIC!!! shot by Hashtag”. The song TAKAMA means Pride which in the song, mama sang about why we boast about the things of this world.
After recording the song titled TAKAMA (Boast/pride) it went viral within couple of weeks on social media and little supports began to flow in and with the help of Mr Kleb mama’s life began to take a new leave.
