Chidinma Ekile, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, has admitted in a YouTube video that she was born blind.
In a video broadcast on her YouTube page, the singer of “Kedike” who recently announced her move to gospel music for the year 2021, confessed that her parents did everything they could to help her sight because she was born blind.
She claimed that her mother ultimately struck a pact with God, and amazingly, Chidinma was able to see again.
Since then, she has given her life to God, and she now exhorts others to do the same. After taking first place in the third season of Project Fame West Africa, Chidinma gained notoriety in 2010. Her music video for “Emi Ni Baller” earned her the first female artist to top the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.
